Join the Second Line.
Supporting the culture means more than watching from the sidelines—it’s about standing with the people who are the culture. The ones who sew the suits, dance in the streets, and pass the traditions down. Our culture bearers show what it truly means to be part of something real. When you show up for them, you’re not just a supporter—you become the second line..
A Letter to Our Founder
Dear Devin,
Thank you for seeing the need—and doing something about it.
When you founded Feed the Second Line, you weren’t just responding to a moment of crisis. You were answering a deeper call: to protect the people who carry the spirit of New Orleans. You built an organization grounded in care, equity, and cultural truth—a space where tradition isn’t just honored, but actively supported.
But what’s even more powerful is what you did next: you made space for the community to lead. You passed the torch with humility and purpose, and that kind of leadership is rare. It created a path not just for representation, but for real transformation.
Because of the space you created, I stepped into this role as my full self—a proud culture bearer, a mother, and a woman whose story is sewn into the fabric of New Orleans—and someone who carries the weight and beauty of this culture with intention.
Taking the reins of this mission, I’ve focused on deepening its roots and broadening its reach—growing youth programs, building economic pathways, and strengthening our resilience work across the city. The mission hasn’t changed—it’s evolved, becoming more grounded in the people it was always meant to serve.
Thank you for your vision, your trust, and your belief in what’s possible when community leads.
With deep gratitude,
Tinice “Tee” Boudreaux
